Please meet Rhianna Anne Klumpp. Dr. Takahashi had thought she might be a little bit off, but she decided to join us a little earlier than we had expected. After about 14 hours of labor, Rhianna came into the world at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 27th. She weighed 2940 grams and was 53.3 centimeters long at birth. She's so beautiful!
Rhianna is a Welsh word which apparently means "Great Queen"(we chose it primarily because we like how it sounds, but the apple doesnt usually fall far from the tree either). Her middle name comes from Grandma Pat's middle name.
She's very graceful acting for a baby, with bright eyes and a beautiful face. She is far taller than any of the other babies in the maternity ward, with very long legs.
Rhianna and mom Shinako are resting happily in Eiju General Hospital
Expect lots more pictures and videos in the near future!!
